DC WOMEN IN POLITICS TO HOST WARD 4 CANDIDATE DISCUSSION AND PREFERENCE POLL

WASHINGTON, D.C.—DC Women in Politics, DCWIP, will be hosting another debate with the female candidates seeking the seat for Ward 4 Councilmember. The event is opened to the public and will be hosted by Ebony McMorris, News Director for Radio One. Among the panelists will be candidates Acqunetta Anderson, Renee Bowser and Judi Jones. 

The last spirited debate and preference poll event held for female candidates seeking the Ward 8 council seat took place on February 28, 2015. Natalie Williams won majority vote in Ward 8 preference poll for candidate most likely to win the special election on April 28, 2015.

This is an opportunity for the community at large to hear Ward 4 candidates share their ideas on key women's issues. The format of the debate will include an opening statement from each candidate. The discussion will include questions from a panel of experts on critical women's issues affecting the community and responses from the audience. A preference poll will be held among Ward 4 residents and DCWIP members in the audience to choose the female candidate most likely to win the election.  The candidate who wins majority vote will receive full support and active participation of DCWIP members.
